What is involved: First, we talk or meet to discuss your vision. I’ll provide insight into the art world and help develop your ideas into a finished oil painting. We will talk about layout and icons that will appear in your painting. Included within your commission is a mini photo shoot to capture the likeness of your family and the setting. I use my skills in Photoshop to tweak the image by adding in elements like a vintage clock your grandmother owns on the opposite coast, swap out a chair, change colors, etc. Once you like the photo after editing, I’ll begin transferring it onto the canvas by hand or with the aid of a projector. All painting on the canvas is done by me without any photo printed onto the surface. You’ll get email updates with images as the painting progresses with an in-person proofing session near the end to provide insight and any slight changes. Once your painting is complete, you’ll be invited to a viewing and to pick up your custom work of art.
