When a group of open minded entrepreneurs get together, the energy and creativity that flows is unbeatable. On this sunny day in Shell Beach, I got to paint this tiny gem so visually representative of the Central Coast of California.

Original painting done en plein air at my friend’s gallery in Shell Beach, California. Oil on canvas by Heather Millenaar with many artist friends surrounding me, all creating simultaneously. I will always remember this day as a synergistic moment in time.
As I looked across the street and over the freeway at the hills so iconic for Shell Beach, cars driving by on both roads would peek down as they quickly passed. Seeing a mass of artists outside creating always catches people’s eye.
This piece has been on display at Thomas Hill Organics in my first landscape show as well as Kennedy Club Fitness in San Luis Obispo.
